All reservations made through our website, by phone, or in person are subject to availability and confirmation.

We reserve the right to change rates, offers, and availability without prior notice.
Check-in time is from 3:00 pm, and check-out is by 11:00 am unless otherwise agreed.
Early check-in or late check-out requests are subject to availability and may incur an additional fee.
3. Cancellations and No-Shows
Cancellation terms may vary depending on the rate or package selected at the time of booking.
For standard bookings, cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled arrival date may incur a charge equivalent to the first night’s stay.
In the event of a no-show, the full amount of the booking may be charged.
Special event or promotional rates may carry separate cancellation policies; please check your booking confirmation for details.
4. Payments
Payment is required at check-in unless stated otherwise.
We accept major credit and debit cards.
All transactions are processed in GBP (£).
Any additional charges incurred during your stay (e.g., meals, drinks, damages) must be settled upon check-out.
5. Restaurant Reservations (New Chapter)
Reservations at New Chapter Restaurant are recommended to ensure availability.
If you are unable to attend your reservation, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
We reserve the right to charge a cancellation or no-show fee for late cancellations.
Allergies or dietary requirements must be communicated at the time of booking or upon arrival.
6. Guest Conduct
We strive to maintain a peaceful and welcoming environment for all guests. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or service to any person whose conduct is deemed inappropriate, abusive, or disruptive.
7. Liability
While every care is taken to ensure guests’ safety and comfort, The North Hill Hotel and New Chapter cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property unless caused by our negligence.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property or its contents during their stay.

12. Refund Policy
Refunds are issued in accordance with the cancellation terms applicable to your booking.
For standard rate bookings, cancellations made within the permitted cancellation window (as stated in your booking confirmation) will be eligible for a full refund of any advance payments made. Cancellations made outside of the permitted cancellation window may incur charges as outlined in Section 3, and refunds may not be provided.
For non-refundable, promotional, or special event rates, payments are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of booking.
If The North Hill Hotel must cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond your control, you will be offered either a full refund of any payments made or the option to reschedule your booking, subject to availability.
Restaurant deposits (where applicable) are refundable if cancellation is made within the required notice period. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in the deposit being retained.
Approved refunds will be processed back to the original method of payment within 5–10 working days. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card provider.
Refunds will not be issued for early departures, failure to arrive (no-shows), services already rendered, or unused elements of packages.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
